I'm trying to find a sci-fi movie that I watched about 2 years ago but I forgot its name. Here's what I remember:
-It was a "B movie", a very "B movie".
-I think the movie may have been made in Germany, Denmark, or Belgium but I think that it was in English.
-Based on the special effects, and the feel of the movie, I think that it was made within the last 20 years.
-I could have sworn that that the main character, herein referred to as Jaime Lannister was Nikolaj Coster-Waldau , but I did not see this movie under his IMDb page.
-I think that the general idea of the movie is that there is a faction that doesn't agree with the established government.
-I think that the movie starts with a patrolman, Jaime Lannister, flying after someone. The pursuit takes them from a nice polished city to the desert wasteland beyond the city.
-I cannot remember if the fugitive gets shot down, eaten by something, or gets away.
-Jaime Lannister is then contacted by his superior and instructed to join up with a group on a large troop transport sort of on the same ideas as the sandcrawler from Star Wars.
-After joining up with the sandcrawler, they discover that there is another sandcrawler out there that is controlled by the enemy faction and there is a slow-paced cat and mouse game between both sandcrawlers.
-During this cat and mouse chase, Jaime Lannister's sandcrawler is sabotaged by a traitor.
-I don't remember how they transitioned to the next part of the movie, but during the middle of the movie we learn that a plague was the reason why the privileged few lived in the city while the rest of the population have to suffer in the wastelands.
-Then there's a religious cult that's helping the people in the wastelands.
-Towards the end of the movie, Jamie Lannister and a group of people are going to blow up a power station, but in order to do so, they have to avoid giant monsters that live in the dark and eat people.
I've tried various databases, but I just cannot seem to find this movie. It feels like it was erased and all evidence of its existence was scrubbed.
