What was the first theatrical movie that honestly scared you?

I saw The Hills Have Eyes at a drive in (remember those?) in 1978 and it scared the crap out of me. As a geezer, I like the movie and actually can somewhat side with the "baddies".

I actually can't remember, mostly because I don't usually go watch scary movies.
