MemberTitanosaurusDec-13-2019 4:35 AMI don't know how reliable IMDb is overall, but I found this little thing over on their Godzilla vs. Kong page:
"In a new world where man and monster now coexist, Monarch must lead the way to a prosperous future alongside the Titans, keeping humanity in check. However, rival factions that want to manipulate the Titans for war begin to rise under the guise of a nefarious conspiracy, threatening to wipe out all life on the planet. Meanwhile on Skull Island, strange seismic activity draws the attention of Godzilla and Kong alike."
So if this is true, then this confirms that the seismic activity mentioned in the end credits of KOTM will have something to do with not only the story, but the reason for Godzilla and Kong's encounter each other.
It also confirms that Emma Russell's fears of the Titans being used for warfare–a minor side-note in her motive rant–is now becoming fact. So we have a sort of Titan arms race going on now. Which, by the way, was another thing briefly touched upon in KOTM; during the briefing scene, Dr. Stanton comments that multiple countries and companies want to get their hands on a Titan for a variety of uses...not all of them benevolent.
