Humanity's new natural predator

Entire ecosystems have been changed with the introduction of domesticated animals and other invasive species as humans migrate across the globe bringing their livestock, pets, and pests with them. Humans also grow unchecked because we haven't had a natural predator besides ourselves since the Early Pleistocene Epoch.
I propose a genetically modified "natural" predator, it would have to be fast, stealthy, and big enough to follow humans in-doors. It would need to have a thick hide to protect it against bullets and intelligent enough to survive evade capture and avoid traps.

In the spirit of the OT, I would suggest the humble Predator!

Member2KOct-16-2019 7:30 PMwell the monsters makes for a cool story but yeah the practical way would be a pathogen

MemberRespectedOct-16-2019 9:59 PMBasically what I'm saying is that the original idea is that we "need" a natural predator, but I'm proving that it wouldn't help at all and a Great Destroyer would actually solve a lot more than a predator. Anyways, for a hypothetical predator... a hybrid between the future predator from Primeval, a Gorgonopsid, and a Spinosaurus. It can also camouflage. Don't question it.
If people weren't lazy, we wouldn't try to be efficient. If we weren't efficient, we'd never get anything done.

Member2KOct-16-2019 10:05 PMwhy a spinosaurus? Aren't those guys fish eaters?
Also what do you think of my headbanner of this topic?

MemberRespectedOct-16-2019 10:10 PMHeadbanners seems good... I don't really know Devil Lady too well.
A Spinosaurus for size for one variant of the predator, where it's a lot bigger but still the same species and helps the rest (like a heavier class Xenomorph in a hive), and so it's semi aquatic and can travel larger distances.

Also Devil Lady (US title) or Devilman Lady (Japanese title) is a good anime, it combines kaiju and kaijin into one genre
