Aside from the great selection of kaiju in the Godzilla films. What giant monsters do you like the most, or find has the best design? Also, what do you think is the biggest monster seen in film? The Kraken from Pirates of the Caribbean, Gwoemul from The Host Forest God from Hell boy 2 The Behemoth from The Mist Ymir from 20 Million Miles to Earth the Space Amoeba from Yog: Monster from Space Stay Puff Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters (just kidding) What I think was the biggest, the Space Worm from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. (Of course Cthulhu could easily make these monsters run for their money!)

Oh yeah! The Sando aqua monster, Opee Seakiller, and the Colo claw fish were nicely done. I wonder how I forgot about those, well now I think about it, aside from that underwater scene the rest of the Phantom Menace was pretty terrible...

Speaking on the gaint machine part no other gaint could beat out the atat walkers in the empire strikes back .maybe pacific rim can bring back that kind of excitement.

Agreed, the first time I saw the AT-AT war machines when I was a child, it blew my mind. They just felt so menacing in their stature and size. I too hope the movie can bring back my childhood fascination of giants. I don't think it will be disappointing, but I could be wrong. Of course no matter what there is no way it can be worse than Micheal Bay's Transformers!

- Gotta show some love for the graboids from Tremors! - How about the sandworms from Dune? - Anything Lovecraftian - The monster from The Host (FYI, The Host 2 is supposedly coming out in 2013!--at least in SK) - Shelob, Smaug, and the Balrog from LOTR

Actually I did mention the monster from the Host! I did not know about a sequel, that would be cool. Also, yeah I totaly forgot about Tremors and Dune! I did mention Cthulhu for a Lovecraftain monster, of course Azothoth would undoubtably be bigger. Shelob was one of the best giant spiders out their for sure, and Smaug was big, but compared to other dragons I'm not sure how big he was. I love Lord of the Rings so much and I am totaly happy for the upcomming Hobbit!
