Film where aliens orbit earth?

trying to find name of film from couple years ago where spherical alien spaceships appear, orbiting earth. Everyone thinks are evil, but not. People have to undergo operation (woman astronaut leaves daughter) to travel; film ends with people going to new world as we have destroyed Earth. (NB: this is not “Arrival”!). Any help with finding film name?!? Thanks!
