How I Would've Made the DCEU

The DCEU is the least successful superhero cinematic universe, and pales in comparison to the MCU and Fox's X-Men universe. Here's a film line-up that would've made a hopefully more successful DC cinematic universe.

1. Man of Steel

Yes, I would've kept a Superman origin story as the kickstarter for this universe. But I would've done it differently than Zack Snyder. For one, Superman would've been charming and charismatic, not dark and edgy. Overall, the tone would be lighter, and Superman's arc would be him trying to find his place on a planet where he wasn't born.

2. The Batman

This film would've established Batman, without telling the origin story. You didn't see The Dark Knight, the best Batman film, show Thomas and Martha Wayne dying, did you? It would have revolved around Batman and Robin (Jason Todd) kicking ass, while having to stop the Joker. The Clown Prince of Crime would've been more like Ledger and Nicholson than...Leto. Sometime during the second half, Todd would be killed, and an emotionally-broken Batman would start killing.

3. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

And now we get to the movie that arguably killed the DCEU. In this reboot, BvS would be nowhere as bloated or overstuffed as the piece of trash we got. We would learn that Rachel Dawes had been killed in Metropolis during the events of Man of Steel. This would make the rivalry between Wayne and Kent more personal, and the two would fight with Lex Luthor (not Eisenberg) pulling the strings. It would end after Batman saves Martha Kent; not Wonder Woman, no Doomsday, no Justice League.

4. Wonder Woman

The only film that I wouldn't change. Except maybe the over-the-top final battle between Diana and Ares. And at the end, Diana would see news footage of Superman fighting a huge monster.

5. Man of Steel 2

This film would begin with a flashback showing the origin of Doomsday, and would mostly follow the plot of the Doomsday! storyline from The Death of Superman. However, Superman would call Batman for help, and the two would struggle against the monster. Wonder Woman, having seen the battle on the news, would intervene, but even all of the Trinity would not be enough. Superman would sacrifice himself. Batman, having heard about the Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg, and Aquaman from news earlier in the film, would be inspired to unite the Justice League.

6. The Flash

This would be an origin story for the Scarlet Speedster, who would witness his mother's death at the hands of Reverse Flash. His enemy's origins would also be explained later on, and after Barry masters his powers, he would fight Reverse Flash, although the latter would escape and live to see another day.

7. Green Lantern

A Green Lantern movie but good. Sinestro would be the antagonist, there would be Hal Jordan, and it would introduce the cosmic side of the DC universe.

8. Cyborg

Yet another origin story, this time for Cyborg. He would be turned into a half-man, half-machine being by his father, and the villain would be Grid.

9. Aquaman

Guess what, another origin movie. He would be raised by humans, but learn that he is an Atlantean, and claim his throne after fighting Black Manta.

10. Justice League

After facing a Parademon, Batman would call Wonder Woman, and the two would seek out Barry Allen, Hal Jordan, Victor Stone, and Arthur Curry to unite the Justice League. They would assemble to fight Steppenwolf, but would be outmatched and forced to use one of the Motherboxes to revive Superman. Together, they would stop Steppenwolf.

This thread will be updated as I come up with more ideas or if you guys give me suggestions.

That’d be a lot better than what we got.

seems much better thought out than the dceu we are getting right now. on suggestion is to skip the cyborg origin movie and use him as sort of the hulk of the dceu. a charector that only shows up in other heros films.
