Let's talk movie snacks. You may ask why. I answer: because we have never done it before.

For a theater experience, popcorn and soda is ok but the popcorn gets pretty dry and forgettable near the bottom. I would stuff it down anyway since it is fairly expensive considering what I get. Waste not, or waist not?

For home, way more options. Pizza and beer is a good choice since there is really no audible crunch to conflict with quiet dialog in a movie. However, crunching on celery sticks or carrots interfering is easily remedied with the pause rewind function.

No snacks for me.  Just me and the movie.  I'm cheap too, so I'm not buying snacks nor am I getting them when I'm watching movies at the house.

I Moon Girl Interesting. I forgot to add that the theater experience, especially during cold months, allows for smuggling. I actually sat in the back watching The Thing in the theater back in the day. My older bro and I lit up- we were told to put the smokes out and did not get kicked out. Cue Edith and Archie- THOSE WERE THE DAYS!

When I was a child and I went to the movies a lot with my Mom and sister, my Mom would smuggle stuff in with her purse.  Mostly Twizzlers.  The candy at the theater is just to expensive!

It's fun smuggling stuff into the theater.

Indeed. Smuggling is the way to go. During winter, it was pretty easy to smuggle in some beers too. You just had to be very discrete about opening the can quietly or ripping open the Twizzler wrappers- they had a different sound from the approved theater offerings!

These days I prefer to just enjoy the movie, but as a kid I used to like the small tubs of ice cream that came with that plastic spoon that seemed only suitable for people with fingers no bigger than a garden gnome.

I have never, ever smuggled anything unless I needed to. Especially in the movie theater where popcorn, a drink, and a hotdog prices together are equal to a rent payment. And especially no intoxicants. No, never.
