I watched The Human Centipede and still cannot recall why I watched it. Any artistic statement was wasted on me. It seemed like senseless inhumane brutality and maybe that was the point. It was one of those things that I knew up front I would likely hate but had to watch- just to be sure. I think it spawned a couple sequels too with a weird prison huge centipede. Maybe the point was about depravity and making viewers feel the need to shower after viewing?

Weigh in on your thoughts please.

I haven't seen these films, yet. But we all have an innate need to validate our loathing/distaste by watching things we know we will dislike lol...

There was no point.

A horrific movie that had a point and was all kinds of wrong was The Devil's Rejects- Love it to death. Centipede? Hate it.

So the Centipede films....don't waste my time you reckon? not even for curiosity sake?

See the first one just to be able to say you watched it. Street cred and all that BS. It is a fucked up movie...it is a shit sandwich and we are out of bread and we all have to take a bite. It is that bad imo.

lol I watched Sharknado for that reason, Street Cred and all that....i'd rather not have the street cred hahahaha

But as a horror film, Human Centipede has a certain appeal.

Yay, Sharknado is so wildly over the top, and bad, that it's really good. And the makers know it!

I don't think I could bring myself to watch The Human Centipede. A little too disgusting for me.

In a similar vein, the movie Martyrs (2008) is a very well made movie and nicely shot, but the subject material is just so depraved I wish I hadn't seen it.

Oh my, I've seen THC and the second one.

If you think you want to see a movie where a chain of peoples mouths are stitched to the person in fronts anus, with all that that entails...then go ahead! Lol

However given that it's a Nazi medical experiment allegory it would be messed up! According to director Tom Six another inspiration comes from a joke he made with friends about punishing a child molester by stitching his mouth to a fat truckers anus!

Looks interesting, but seems the rating is meh

The most unsettling movie I watched was "Dogtooth", but it has a pretty good plot. Recommend it if you are into effed up movies :D
