MemberOvomorphMar-02-2017 7:30 AMI find it hard to believe that the Deacon at the end of Prometheus didn't attack Shaw (with bodyless David) while trying to get an Engineer ship working.
A) Hibernation period of the Deacon in the Engineer took a long time, long after David&Shaw left the planet, but this would be inefficient for the creature and it would also be unbelievable, since in a couple of hours it went from a little baby squid to that huge Trilobite. I mean all the Xeno creatures grow fast.
B) While getting David back on his body + find a Engineer ship and start it up, the Deacon would have got plenty of time to attack them. I mean, it just sits there and does nothing? Wouldn't make much sense to me, It would find Shaw and Deacon would have tried to kill her. OR it would sneak up and resides in the Engineer ship.
Scott said that the Deacon doesn't appear in Covenant, but come on. It would be stupid if you just show it at the end of Prometheus and then don't do anything with it. You could have shown the Deacon fight Shaw in flashbacks or something like it.
Maybe it's explained in that sequel-prequel book, I don't know if I should happy about it, I wanted to see the Deacon in action. :)

MemberOvomorphMar-03-2017 2:54 AMyou never really know, they could put him in a short scene at the end of the movie after the credits or have a flash scene, there are further installments to come after covenant so it might have been put in the shelf for now. What i find interesting is what the Deacon really is. Does it speak, is it more alien or engineer. How quick does it grow and is it a queen perhaps, best thing would be like in Aliens that it hides on the ship they fly to paradise and comes out at some point in the story as a huge suprise :-)

MemberOvomorphMar-03-2017 4:22 AMyeah just read that the deacon cut scenes on the Blu Ray show that the Deacon is still present on LV-223 while Shaw and David leave the planet in the Derelict, so who knows what comes next or if he was scrapped as idea while working on Covenant :-)
