So far in the trailers, we know only a few things; Batman and Wonder woman are recruiting Meta-Humans to fight the imminent threat that was whispered throughout both B.V.S. and Suicide Squad. Some of these Meta-Humans are the iconic DC heroes such as The Flash (played by Ezra Miller), Cyborg (played by Ray Fisher), and Aquaman (played by Game of Thrones's Jason Momoa) who have each made an appearance in the primary theactrical trailer. However, there is something, or better yet, someone, missing from the JL equation; Kal El, a.k.a. Superman.
For those who still actually care for The Last Son of Krypton, there are probably a few questions, theories, and predictions as to how the Man of Steel will once again streak across the sky in the name of truth, justice, and the American way. So far though, nothing has been officially said as to exactly HOW this reappearance will take place. However there are a couple of ideas that have been brought up.
There is a possibility that the director/producers may be following the film "Superman Doomsday" where Superman is taken to the Fortress of Solitude and placed in a medical bay to slowly heal in a black Kryptonian "yellow sun absorbing suit". However I doubt we will be seeing a fake cloned Superman terrorizing the city anytime soon, however it would make sense from Suicide Squad, how the "Next Superman may not share their ideals". It may be too much on the nose however, but you never know.
My theory, is that Bruce Wayne is aware of Clark's true 'stasis' state. In fact I believe he is the one who takes him to a safe location for him to heal. Also, I believe whatever threat the team will be facing is going to be much even for our heroes, and at the very last moment, Batman will call in the heavy artillery; in other words a long haired and bearded Kryptonian in a black suit branding a silver House of El symbol on his chest.
Anyone else have any theories as to how the God among men will return to the DCCU?
