Was the Deacon organic?

MemberFacehuggerDec-21-2016 2:21 PMI have thought about the 'Walter Xeno' theory and have reached a point of needing some ideas/clarification. If the classic Xeno comes from a blending of organic & biomechanical DNA, then why does it appear the Deacon is organic? Having come from the biomechanical Engineer, would the Deacon not be more like a Classic Xeno? I do not know, I may be reaching here?

MemberFacehuggerDec-21-2016 2:32 PMI'm pretty sure that was a suit. The Deacon is purely organic. I think the "biomechanical" Engineer thing was a theory that someone on here started

MemberFacehuggerDec-21-2016 2:41 PMWell, I guess I am still adhering to the Biomechanical Engineer theory, then? I just find myself thinking up crazy ideas about Prometheus, all the time!!!

AdminEngineerDec-21-2016 2:58 PMYou're definitely in the right place for crazy Prometheus theories Cerulean Blue haha!
The biomedical look of the Engineer was suggested to be nothing more than a "pressure suit", however theories have also questioned whether or not the Engineers managed to fuse their biological makeup with their own mechanical creations. I mentioned and elaborated on this theory in a recent news article about the Alien: Covenant aliens. However that was purely fan theory.
Not to say though, that it's possible.
As for the Deacon, I'm going to say it was 100% organic. Nothing on it indicated biomechanics that I could see. Even the teeth were bone-color and lacked the silver, metallic finish like that of the Xenomorph's.

MemberXenomorphDec-21-2016 3:25 PMDeacon was organic. Aliens are organic. They just look like a fusion of flesh and machine.

MemberDeaconDec-21-2016 4:32 PMThe Deacon could be Part Xeno Part Human.
But i think it evolves from mixing of Human DNA with something related to the Xenomorph.... where the Xeno comes from similar Origin but is mixed with Synthetic DNA.
We cant assume the Xeno predates the DNA from what ever the Black Goo came from...
We also cant assume the Xeno gets its Mechanical Synthetic side from a Synthetic from Earth.
Is Mankind the only ones to create Synthetics in the Galaxy? are all Organisms in the Galaxy Organic? are those above the Engineers Organic?
We just dont know...

MemberPraetorianJun-19-2017 10:31 AMIn the Alien: Covenant novelization, the xenomorph produced from Captain Oram was described as "biomechanical" on page 340.
I agree with those above that it looks like the "biomechanical" aspect originates from Earth in the form of synthetics. The book said biomechanical in 2104 before the Nostomo met our confirmed "biomechanical". That left me a bit confused.
BigDave mentioned in another topic that this could be an oversight and that is probably correct.
Still, the Deacon was so unique born from an Engineer, infected by a Triobite, born by Dr. Shaw...all from a single black goo (accelerant) infection to Dr. Holloway. David 8 mentioned in Alien: Covenant that there are many types of mutagens (black goo), so who knows.
I'm still leaning towards David 8 refining his organism design into biomechanical with what he has been provided with now at the end of Alien: Covenant.
And yes, maybe using Walter to get there. Walter isn't emotional so he can't be mad that David 8 left him to be the best flute player on Paradise so he might get with the program.

MemberFacehuggerJun-19-2017 10:47 AMThe Xeno was always biomechanical starting with the first alien movie.
What i miss in this franchise is what happens if a facehugger impregnates a bear, cow, elephant, lion, bison, etc. (aka. bigger mammal).
We actually never saw this outcome in any movie yet.
