Sidious is actually the strongest Sith. He was able to create force storms that could shatter dimensions. Not to mention an evil genius.
Good grief.
Not surprising. For a while I couldn't decide between him and Vitiate
"Part of the journey is the end..."
GG is right Sidious is the strongest one.
"A living nuclear weapon destined to walk the Earth forever. Indestructible. A victim of the modern nuclear age."
George Lucas said Sidious was the strongest before Vitiate was created. Between the two of them you could argue for both being number 1, there's definitely not a clear cut winner between them.
As for top 10 strongest, can't really come with an answer. After Sidious Vitiate and Krayt it becomes much harder to call.
So you say that they are equal. Who is Krayt?
"A living nuclear weapon destined to walk the Earth forever. Indestructible. A victim of the modern nuclear age."
He's in the list but i don't know him.
"A living nuclear weapon destined to walk the Earth forever. Indestructible. A victim of the modern nuclear age."
They might not be exactly even, but it's pretty close.
Krayt came from the old legends continuity. He comes post Return of the Jedi and fights one of Luke's descendants. He also makes the One Sith, or Rule of 1.
All 3 are basically the pinnacle of their eras. Vitiate from the old Sith Empires. Sidious from the Rule of 2, and Krayt from the 1 Sith.
The rest of the list is just really hard since people like Plagueis, who are insanely strong don't really do anything to show it. Plagueis had 1 known lightsaber battle and almost no combat against trained force users, so while I think he could easily make this list I wouldn't know where to put him, same goes for a few other members.
Updated list:
10. Darth Plagueis
9. Marka Ragnos
8. Darth Revan
7. Darth Caedus
6. Darth Bane
5. Darth Vader
4. Exar Kun
3. Darth Krayt
2. Darth Vitiate aka Valkorion
1. Darth Sidious
"Part of the journey is the end..."
By the way I think Sidious slightly has the edge over Vitiate.

...What the actual living FUCK is this list...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FeiyzZffJ8
"Part of the journey is the end..."
The middle part was ok, but will agree the last few and first few choices don't make much sense. Sometimes people let personal favorites rank higher than they should though.
10-8 probably never should have made the list, Vader shouldn't be top 3 much less 1. I don't necessarily agree with 7-3, but I can see the logic behind putting them there.
Vader could have been the strongest, until he got fucked over by Obi-Wan on Mustafar
"Part of the journey is the end..."
He had the potential, but based on what he reached, he'd be at the top end of a top 10 for me.
^His powers were limited but he was stronger than the pussy he was as a Jedi
"Part of the journey is the end..."
and yeah, I'd never put Maul on a top 10 strongest Sith list
"Part of the journey is the end..."
^Yes but he was a reckless and arrogant douche. What good is having that many midichlorians if you can't put it to good use?
"Part of the journey is the end..."
^Only because Dooku knocked Kenobi unconscious, causing Anakin to tap into his rage.
Plus, Dooku's better as a duelist. He was a master of Makashi.
"Part of the journey is the end..."
Anakin was pretty much a Djem So master by RotS too.
While it did ultimately come down to Anakin's youth winning, even contending with Dooku on an even level was amazing.
In Yoda Dark Rendezvous it's implied the only jedi capable of 1v1ing Dooku reliably are Yoda and Mace.
Because Dooku used Anakin and Obi Wan being injured to distract Yoda while he ran away.
^When they were dueling, Yoda could've killed him.
If he's the strongest Jedi, he shouldn't even need to use a lightsaber.
"Part of the journey is the end..."
and youth isn't everything. At the end of ROTS, Obi-Wan beat Anakin even though he was around 40
"Part of the journey is the end..."
He would have hene why Dooku used something to distract Yoda while he ran away.
Just because you can beat someone doesn't mean you'd kill them immediately. Yoda had the advantage that whole fight, and it's likely he would have won had nothing stopped him like having to defend Anakin and Obi Wan.
Youth isn't everything, however Dooku is like 70 in RotS. That's a huge hit to someone physically and unlike Obi Wan who you could also say was on his backfoot the entire fight with Anakin he didn't have any environmental factors to turn the fight in his favor. He'd actually be set up to fail from the beginning since Palpatine was ready for a new apprentice.
^Plus, he did knock Kenobi unconscious, thus fucking himself
"Part of the journey is the end..."
Well he realistically never could have 1v2ed them at that point anyway.
They were much more experienced after 3 years of war than when he met them the first time.
^Don't forget the biggest factor; Anakin gave into his anger after Dooku subdued his master
"Part of the journey is the end..."
That's what killed him in the movie, but even if Anakin didn't give into his anger, Dooku was taking on 1 person with almost equal skill and 1 with equal to greater power. If they had attacked together Dooku was done either way, hence why he used things like super battle droids to keep them separated.
