Upcoming AMC Sci-Fi Series will be a mix of Blade Runner / Battlestar Galactica

AMC is developing a new show called "Ballistic City". It's a futuristic sci-fi drama from director Joseph Kosinski (TRON: Legacy). As well as helming the first episode, he will executive produce the series alongside writer Travis Beacham (Pacific Rim). According to the site, "Ballistic City is described as "Blade Runner meets Battlestar Galactica" and tells the story of a former cop thrust into the criminal underworld of a city housed in a generational space ship destined for an unknown world." The project is eyed as a potential companion to AMC’s genre blockbuster "The Walking Dead".
