I have noticed over the years.. a trend toward quick gratification. Either people want a fix satisfied or else they end up not caring about how something is done just so long as they get their fill of whatever it is that matters to them at the moment. A good example would be spending time enjoying a well prepared meal and totally loving the experience and taste there of.... versus the drive thru at McDonalds where you look at a menu of items... pick one and go with it... eat it fast before it gets cold... only to find out the burger is luke warm.. the cheese is still stiff and cold... and your ketchup and mustard are dripping out one side... but you still eat it cause you're in a rush and or don't care as long as your hunger is satisfied. I know this is true of a lot of people. Both the high quality restaurant and McDonalds want to make money and keep you coming back to spend your money... and we are free to choose whatever. Now.. when it comes to movies... the same thing can be said. I don't know about the rest of you... but I want High quality... accuracy... and great depiction in a movie that I'm spending money to go see. Everyone has their opinion about movies.. and everyone has varying tastes. I don't expect people to agree with me.. but one has to admit... Hollywood movie companies make a crap load of money from their efforts... and our wallets... so my point is.. shouldn't we be a little bit more demanding about what we are paying for... or have movies truly gone the way of fast food ? After all... IMAX is all about the experience .. but if the movie does not deliver the goods the way you expected it.... well.. there goes your money and you leave IMAX disappointed. And I speak from experience. Here is something to ponder.... two men walking on the same sidewalk just 20 seconds apart... the first man see's a penny on the walk and keeps going... the second guy see's the same penny and stops to pick it up and discovers that's its an ultra rare penny worth millions. Thats the difference between someone who does not care verses someone who does.

I would say this is an excellent analogy.
