Was Godzilla save the earth a dissapointment compared to Godzilla Destroy all monsters melee

You might have a scratched disk. I got Save the Earth when it came out(I remember because it was $40 instead of the usual $50 for a new game) and never noticed it to be that buggy. I think it was an improvement over Melee, but not by huge standards. It basically just had a bigger monster roster many of which were welcome additions to the game. The problem I had was the all the monsters that came from Melee basically stayed the same, I would have liked new move sets and abilities from some of the monsters. I do agree some of the challenges are extremely annoying and seeing as you are forced to do them as you play through the story that does get old. 

The only other problem I have is the lack of a story. I read about the intended story but it got thrown out aand instead the only way to get an ending it to play I believe Godzilla 2000 on expert and beat it and you get a small video of Space Godzilla gets trapped in a wormhole. Would have been nice to see the story that surrounded it.

I actually always considered Save the earth an improvement over DAM, on the other hand unleashed whas a disapointment

DAM: Melee was fun, but I like Save the Earth a lot more. Unleashed was the true letdown.

I don't know what you're talking about. I have the Xbox version, and I have experienced none of the problems you have. It is supposed to come with a booklet, which I own. I enjoyed Unleashed, but I have the Wii version and I don't like the controls.

I loved save the earth. Unleashed was a major disappointment like what JRR and Gman2887 said.

Well if its just my copy of the game then ok but I should still have acsses to th entire moveset of the kaiju I play as and I agree with you all unleashed is stupid. I have no idea what dalek8 is talking about. I guess he likes laggey bugged out games with bad controls and fan art for cutscenes but if likes that then ok I guess enjoy that stuff somehow. But really though can you guys really chrouch attack and block recovery attacks. Argh people wining about th graphics in godzilla p3 and now this why me.

To me, Destroy All Monsters Melee was an amazing game for its time graphic and mechanics-wise and it still holds up incredibly well today.  I feel like Save the Earth was a step back graphics-wise and was not the improvement it could have been, but the added monsters and environments pretty much made up for it.

Personally, I don't consider Unleashed a disappointment at all, at least regarding the Wii version. The PS2 version was a travesty and the DS version was a pretty poor game, but I loved the huge playable roster of monsters in the Wii version and I felt the graphics were excellent. The controls were very frustrating at first, but I adjusted to them and was able to play the game comfortably.

Thanks T.K.O.T.M that really helps out. I was thinking of gettin gthe ps2 version but if its no better than the wii version than that buy won't be happening and sorry to dalek8 if I hurt his feeling earleyer that was not my intent at all there really was no point to the last part so just feel free to ignore it. Also thanks to all of you for not getting mad and giving me hate over this not to point fingures or anthing but I felt like someone would take it the wrong way but luckley we did'nt have to deel with that. If you compare it to other games, yes it is a little dissatisfactory

I like Destroy All Monsters Melee, but Save the Earth is the best in my opinion.

Unleashed isn't bad on the wii either.

i love Unleashed but that's mostly because it's the only godzilla game ive played

Ah this gives me good ole memories. Save the Earth was so much fun with a party, especially when we would 2v1, 3v2, Hard CPUs. Unleashed gave me even more of what I wanted, even Biollante, I still have a used copy from way back when and an Unopened Unleashed copy that I still have in my collection. Destroy all Monsters Melee did not fancy my taste as it did not have enough playable monsters and the combat was a tad lack luster.

Jordan502 I personaly love destroy all monsters. Especially the cheat codes you could use.

Kattozilla I had no idea Space G is technically their dad. Also, you said THEIR dad not HIS dad, so does that mean Krystalak and Obsidius brothers? Also, I'm guessing they were "born" when Space G's crystals started spawning

Save the Earth was my favorite growing up, never had any gripes. But Unleashed... major letdown. At the time I only had a PS2 and got the PS2 version of the game, what a joke that was. Most of the new monsters were missing, it lagged hard, it was just such a rip off lol I remember being so pissed.

Yeah, never played PS2 version but it just sounds inferior...
