On the subject of Damon Lindelof

Without a doubt one of the most polarizing writers out there. Some people really love him and some people really hate him. I just read that he quit twitter in order to avoid rampant hate mail. So I'd like to hear what everyone on here has to say about him. I very much enjoy his body of work, BUT would be lying if I weren't equally as frustrated as I am in love with it. I was more hyped for Prometheus than really any movie beforehand, and was really let down by it. But I paid to see it some five times, and wouldn't let it go. I felt like Lindelof's crypticism was disingenuous, but I don't think it is anymore. And I think his understanding of character is absolutely phenomenal. His character stick with me more than any other science fiction or blockbuster films.
