MemberNoobOct-07-2013 9:43 AMFor those who don't know, in the Asia version of Pacific Rim, Mako never speaks Japanese. Her lines were dubbed into English, horribly.
I want to pre-order the Blu-ray / DVD but I want to know if the Asia / International release still has those lines in English, so I can pre-order the North American version via Amazon instead.
I would be sorely disappoint if ALL regions had the lines changed to English. It is a ridiculous call, there's no logical reason to expect anyone still with anti-Japanese sentiments to want to watch this movie in the first place, so why dub it?

All I knew was that Mako's voice was redubbed in Japan with a different voice, even though Mako's actress can speak Japanese (and does so a bit in the film released in NA). Likely this had to do with promoting certain star power in Japan versus the rest of the world.
