MemberNoobJul-29-2013 4:44 AMI finally saw the concept art of Romeo Blue, and was pouring all over it, when I realized something about its color scheme.
Dark blue, with red and yellow highlights. Just like its fellow American Jaeger, Gipsy Danger.
A quick doublecheck led me to discover that both Tacit Ronin, and Coyote Tango, ones stationed in Japan, were painted white with red detailing.
Their paint schemes are dictated by region assigned. Maybe there was a Horizon Brave that was painted red and gold, before Crimson Typhoon was built?
Just something to consider!

MemberNoobJul-29-2013 4:23 PMMaybe that's the case, but how do you explain Cherno's greenish / goldish color then?

MemberNoobJul-29-2013 6:51 PMCherno was inspired by Russian tanks and subs, which generally have that scheme.

MemberNoobJul-29-2013 7:26 PMOne would think that, had the Jaeger program still had government funding by the time they consolidated in the Hong Kong Shatterdome, they might have gone ahead and repainted the four remaining jaegers to the red and gold scheme. That being said, they had bigger things to worry about at the time than looking pretty.
