Japanese Dialogue in Pacific Rim?

Was there any Japanese dialogue in the US release? I've watched twice in Singapore (normal and IMAX 3D), and scenes that looked like were in Japanese were dubbed into English. While the movie was still amazing, I feel I had something taken away from me :( Having the original Japanese dialogue would have boosted the already international feel of the movie even more and satisfy the anime fan inside me.

There was absolutely Japanese dialogue in the version at my local IMAX. But I'm in Canada, so not sure how the States differ in terms of dubbing. But our version had English subtext, with the actors speaking Japanese.

In Cincinnati there was Japanese dialogue with English subtitles.

There were a few lines in there, although not many. I think Guillermo used it sparingly so that the average film goer wouldn't get tired of reading the text.

Thanks for the confirmations guys. Now I feel so ripped off. I wish I could see those scenes as they were filmed originally.

So is there or isn't there a non dubbed version of this scene? Myself being a G fan, prefer the subtitled films to crappy dubbing.
