Pacific Rim and Godzilla crossover movie. what do you think?

This would more work in the 90s Godzilla films as those did have him fight a Jaeger like MechaGodzilla and Mogera. Both are big mechs that operate like the Jaegers do under a military command operation known as G-Force. The new movie, well Del Toro said his movie and LP's Godzilla wouldn't fit together given the themes are different as are the styles of the films. His is more fantasy where Godzilla 2014 is more realistic in the "If this did happen in real life." situation.

If that did happen, they'd have to create the ultimate Jaeger, one built out of materials tough enough to withstand the Radioactive breath. The other problem is that they would have to bring Godzilla down in power because Godzilla is more of an unstoppable force of nature. Emphasis on "unstoppable" because Godzilla is as close to invulnerable as a monster can get.

I think you would have to talk godzilla differently. Everybody wants to see Godzilla fight other monsters or the military because that is what we are so used to. It also doesn't work because Guillermo said he paid homage to other monster/kaiju films and to bring godzilla into the world it just wouldn't feel right. It would probably be cool and it also explains that these Kaiju are like aliens that transported here and Godzilla is made by a nuclear disaster. It would just be really hard to get over all the obstacles to make that movie. Thanks. - JGeorgeVH

Yeah I think once we all see the flick we will realize that wont work

If it involves down right destruction, chaos and mayhem sign me up....

But think about it for a second, yes both are Kaiju movies but with different tones. Even then, what if the PPDC finally realized that Godzilla is not a force to be reckoned with but to work with and form an alliance against the alien Kaiju? Kindof like in Godzilla vs Spacegodzilla when Godzilla is forced to team up with Moguera in order to defeat Spacegodzilla and retrieve his son back. Again this is all just concept I haven't seen Pacific Rim yet and Godzilla is still underworks. But by my point of view, it can be a very interesting and exciting concept if done right.

Well... the two universe differ so much from each other it would seem impossible to do it, for example Godzilla is a kaiju (kaiju means monster in japanese) if Godzilla were attacking pacific nations since i dont know maybe 1968, i think they would've caught on that they're under attack and the attacks wont stop, much earlier then 2014... it would just completely... screw up, both universes history and storyline... Sure it would be cool... but it would not really make sense... or any logic... also godzilla is a monster... i dont think he... she... it has time to talk with people and make an alliance to stop aliens...
