i have no idea, good question tho, but i highly doubt that an older model would be used in combat

since many times I heard that the kaijus where winning the battle against the jaegers and I read also many times the lines" who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete jaeger from the past" the oldest jaeger is Coyote Tango or Gipsy Danger and I don´t think those are the ones so maybe we´re gonna have a surprise and find out that there is an unkown jaegger. That would be a nice surprise...
