Extended Brett death scene

It's in the Alien Quadrology, not sure which cut but in the table contest has tiny stars (*) when there is extended or unseen footage. How do I know this? Cause I own one.

You know,I never noticed until the Blu-Ray version came out,but there's a quick shot of the Alien suspended by the chains(??) when Brett enters the landing claw room.Its before the action starts from the posted clip here.I've seen this film countless times but never noticed it until I watched it on Blu-Ray. My guess is the quick shot I'm speaking of is sort of a mind game with the audience.You have to really watch but you can see the Alien in amongst the hanging chains.Up until I noticed the creature I figured it was a shot to give the audience an idea of how big & tall the room is...but our external skeletal friend is in there...cue spooky music; ooooooeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaoooooooo :)

Look on the Laserdisc Archives for Alien, you'll find it there. Both the Quadrilogy and Anthology sets have them.

I've got the Directors Cut Bluray of Alien, the exstended parts are on it.

The 'slightly extended' youtube video is taken from a fan cut of Alien dubbed 'Alien Redux'. It's also known as a workprint reconstruction. The editor used most of the outtakes & deleted scenes from the Alien quadrilogy special features. However, what's featured in the clip are only small snippets of the original graphic version of Brett's death.

Sorry all, still can't find it. I've tried all the extras and deleted scenes on both the Quad and Anthology, but no joy. If anyone can pm me with exact instructions on how to find it, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks xeno, I've looked at the Laserdisc Archive on both but I just cannot see it. I've seen 'Kane in the morning'(?) 're-grouping' etc amongst the deleted scenes, but I fail to see the scene I want.

You are talking about the scene with Brett right? It is there buddy I've just watched it. On the laserdisc archives select table of contents, then go to chapter 17: Editing and Music. Then just go through that chapter and you'll find it under 'A quick glimpse'.

Yeah, as said before that's taken from a fan edited version of Alien using all known outtake footage.
