MemberOvomorphJul-22-2012 10:52 PMCreated to rival the Alien Queen in hierarchy, here is the Alien King! Thought some fans might enjoy. Pics are from the "Aliens:Rogue" book. Last pic is of a fight to the death between the King and Queen. Impressive! Who do you think wins?

MemberOvomorphJul-23-2012 1:54 AMI don't know how that would work though, as the comics followed the film - so it would be some crazy reverse engineering of stories
Although we're in a day and age where a generation has passed on for it to be canon to everyone

MemberOvomorphJul-23-2012 2:24 AMmeh...not fond of the concept or the actual design (xeno king). Imo, too much has been made of the xenomorph "hive" structure/heirarchy. We've got drones, warriors, queens, kings, and all manner of hybrids etc. Aliens was a fantastic film, but taking the various alien roles any further would be a mistake (imo). I certainly hope that no queens or kings etc. pop up in any future installments of the prometheus/alien franchise (i pretend AVP doesnt exist). Obviously the host of the gestating xeno embryo is going to have an impact on what the little fetus-o-hate looks like, but beyond that...lets leave the pred-alien-crusher-king-badass-250 ft tall turds in the comic books. having said that, there have been some great alien comic books. there was a 4 part series that was entitled "Aliens". It was fantastic. Hicks and newt plus an android named butler. The series is quite old (was written prior to alien 3), but i remember the artwork being incredible and the story being above average for a comic book. Id like to see the xenos kept to a minimum in any prometheus sequels. Basically, id just like some more history on how the engineers and xenomorphs are intertwined (just a bit more info regarding the xeno bio-chronology) and id like at least a subtle explanation of why the cargo in the juggernaut on LV 426 consisted of eggs and not ampules (i have my own theories, but id like that one officially answered). beyond that, i hope the xenos are ignored from here on out.

MemberOvomorphJul-24-2012 12:34 PM@joeyjoe and the rest: I agree! Some of the Aliens comic books aren't that great, but some have quite interesting storylines. I just find them fun to read, to see what their take is on the Alien saga. The pics of the Alien King were just for fun and to get your impressions...But like you I would prefer if the Prometheus sequels put the focus on how the Engineers and the Xenos are connected (Are they two different species? Have the Xenos been created by the Jockeys? How have the Xenos been used in the past by the Jockeys? The evolution, etc). As for the eggs on the derelict in the first Alien movie, perhaps the black Xeno liquid/goo inside the ampules/urns turned the urns into eggs? This thread or idea about the eggs comes from a Youtube video explaining the chronology of the films. It states that the ampules are turned into eggs because of the black liquid's transformation properties.
