Blade Runner 30th Anniversary Blu Ray

I just upgraded my Blu Ray player.It occurred to me that of all the DVD copies of Blade Runner I own,I don't have it on Blu Ray.I looked up the Blu Ray version on Amazon with intent to purchase and this is what I discovered.... [IMG]http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z292/djrees_2007/bladerunner30.jpg[/IMG] This 30th Anniversary Blu Ray collection has two books...AND...a miniature of the prototype Spinner police car...my nerd synapsis fired all at once when I saw this and I almost passed out.. [IMG]http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z292/djrees_2007/bladrunner4.jpg[/IMG] So it might be worth a few weeks wait for this.Its due out on October 23rd.October is going to be a Prometheues/Blade Runner smorgasbord. This would also make the perfect belated Birthday present for a Blade Runner fan/site administrator (wink,wink..hint,hint) Happy Birthday Svanya :))

Still can't believe they are actually putting this out. I mean, this is way beyond double-dipping. I thought I was done with the Ultimate edition, then came the blu-ray ultimate and now this. Hell, I thought I was done after the original VHS lol. Even though I complain I still buy as long as there's even a single new feature. Still, a 25th anniversary only to be followed by another 5 years later is a little much.

I haven't really done any research on the 30th anniversary Blu Ray but I'm hoping they take there cue from the Blu Ray release of Jaws.Spielberg didn't just convert Jaws over to a Blu Ray medium.He took the original masters and brought them up to speed for Blu Ray.It took over a year to do. I'm hoping they've done the same thing with Blade Runner because the technology to make films look better improves every year.I know they must have cleaned it up for the first Blu Ray release..but if they decided to do the process again using all the new tech available now, it could possibly look even better.

I would do somersaults and cartwheels if there was to be an isolated score track on here. A true BR score has still not reached the airwaves in 30 years, it's about time, guys...

@Bioscope; I thought the real score that came out in 1994 was the true BR score. I know one song is still missing but apart from that is it not the true score?? I know I want a music section too!! Some things are coming, like a photo gallery so you never know. :)

Yup I'll be buying this too, the book & Spinner seal the deal for me. If ever a film deserves to be seen in Blu Ray, it's BladeRunner........& I can't wait!
