Alien Drone
MemberOvomorphMar-22-2012 10:05 PMJust was thinking about Dallas, Kane and Lambert discovering the original Space Jockey, wasn't the comment from one of them something about the Space Jockey being there thousands of years and being petrified? I see no way with the current timeline, that it can be the same place or same ship. If it is, then Ridley really screwed things up!
Any thoughts on that?

"Is it dead this time?" "I dunno, poke it with this stick and see."

MemberOvomorphMar-22-2012 11:22 PMHey "ifp123", it's just a post for fun, no sense getting so worked up over it. Attention to detail, it's a movie, you know that don't you?
I guess I could have said mummified, would that be okay with you?
BTW, I have seen the movie, when it first came out.....we didn't have such things as cell phones or Iphones back then!

MemberOvomorphMar-22-2012 11:45 PMOne could argue never having seen anything like that before, the Nostromo crew made a snap judgement and limited with their earthly knowledge speculated what they had found. Bare in mind they were not there very long and they did no tests on the thing.

MemberOvomorphMar-23-2012 12:44 AMwell i always though about this. in the trailer you can clearly see the celling shifting and changing, i think thats when things start thurning metalic. it becomes alive, for all we know the derelict might be grown from the temple itself but after it crashes then it begins to die and since its old anyway it becomes fossolized with the ship looking old and bony, it is both organic and mechanic

MemberOvomorphMar-23-2012 12:46 AMDallas says "Alien lifeform. Looks like it's been dead for a long time. Fossilized. Looks like it's growing out of the chair. Bones are bent outward, like he exploded from inside."

MemberOvomorphMar-23-2012 12:46 AMthey might even run into the same fossolized jockey chair before (whatever) starts changing everything

MemberOvomorphMar-27-2012 12:52 AMif they run into it, they might trip over it and break it. then, they'll have a tough time putting it back together...
