MemberXenomorph10/10/2011Yup I was just reading and got distracted looking for travel arrangements to Basel, Switzerland (91miles) from Musee de H.R. Giger. I think I am going to take a week in January and go. 1,200USD for a week stay, I don't think I can pass that up.

Hello. As I´m from Germany, I was in Switzerland some times.
It´s very expensive ( they´ve still pay w. Franken, as you know)
... as you take it upon yourself to go all the way transatlantic,
you should also vist this (test?) site
It´s that theme park of `von Daeniken´. Maybe that´s sth for you.
I´ve not visited yet and perhaps won´t do so.
Once, in the early 2000s (2004) I was visiting an dissertation, though.
I was the only one in disguise, wearing a headband with an UFO
attached on it.
only btw. : two beauties who I´d adored very much, in each case,
have moved over there. anyway. : (

MemberXenomorph10/11/2011Vanilla,
What do you consider expensive?

MemberOvomorph10/11/2011o.k., Rick - that, of course, depends on how much you want to spend and
lastly what your expenses are goin to be; take a chicken mc nuggets menu
at mc donalds: it´s 12 Franken which is circa 9,60 Euro (everyone needs a
rest when touring); furtheron, if you plan to go roaming w. a rented car-
you should know that they have milage dependent toll (unless I cannot say
how it´s gonna be converted in the tariff rate).
Once, I sat in a street café in Zuerich and paid almost eight Euros for just
eating a small portion of pudding.
And that´s just public spaces in downtown; you´d dread to think of the
expenses at places like St. Moritz (the Aspen of Switzerland).
P.S.:
If you´re that enthused about darkwave and related art-forms, you´d be better to go to Austria/Vienna. Indeed, there´s not a Giger Museum, but all in all there´s a lot more of this realm of possibility- and it´s more price-worth; )
Here´s another link:](...and of course, from time to time there´s a Giger arts exhibition, too.)

MemberOvomorph10/11/2011To get back to discussion´s topic, here´s an image of some (ski?-) boots, that H. R. Giger once designed (and casted?):

P.S.: I have done some sketches or drafts of similar shape (darkwaver´s sunglasses, however without any body fixation); unfortunatelly I`m not able to upload these, because I don´t have a photobucket-account, yet.
