Who will play Carnage in Sony's Tom Hardy led Venom movie? This question has been thrown around since it was announced last year that Carnage would be the Venom movie's primary villain, but even now, the studio has yet to announce who was cast to play the role of the vile Venom spawn. However, a new rumor has surfaced which suggests not only who will play Carnage, but just how involved the character will be in the new movie...
According to sources via The Hashtag Show, Carnage will not actually be present for most of Venom, but will be introduced near the end of the film in a post-credit scene. If the rumor proves true, near the end of Venom we will be introduced to Cletus Kasady by Dr. Ashley Kafka while Eddie Brock is at San Quentin State Prison. Their sources claim during this scene, a piece of the Venom Symbiote will leave Brock and make its way to Kasady before the screen cuts to black.
Essentially, if this rumor is accurate, Carnage will not actually be the main villain in Venom, but rather set up as the main villain in a Venom sequel.
The Hashtag Show also report that the actor who will portray the role of Cletus Kasady and Carnage will be none other than Woody Harrelson! Back in December it was announced that Harrelson had joined the Venom movie cast, but he was absent from any set photos which leaked online. Originally his role was described as a henchman, but now his secretive role seems to be linked to that of Venom's offspring.
