What if Sony's Venom movie was part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe after all? We've known for a while now that the two entities would be remaining separate and that Spider-Man does not exist in this Venom movie, but that fact has been met with a variety of mixed reactions by fans. It's also the reason why Venom's design lacks the trademark white Tarantula symbol and a variety of Spidey-adopted powers.
Despite all that, fans continue to edit officially released Venom movie media and add in their own MCU homages and references. One of the latest works places MCU's Spider-Man in the clutches of Venom and adds back that iconic Tarantula symbol to Venom's design:
