Love him or Loathe him, there is no denying the fact that Tom Cruises movie career has been hitting all the right beats lately. Following his team up with Steve Speilberg for the 2005 remake of The War of the Worlds the ageless American superstar has amazed in movies such as Tropic Thunder, Valkyrie, Jack Reacher, Oblivion and Edge of Tomorrow. Even the recent installments in the Mission Impossible movie series have somehow managed to shake off the taint that was Mission Impossible II. With rumors abound that Cruise may return in the eagerly awaited Top Gun II it is looking like his popularity is going to break the stratosphere, so let us hope this next movie lives up to its leading stars ability to deliver.

After the poor critical and commercial impact left behind by 2014's Dracula Untold starring Luke Evans, Universal Pictures have decided to slightly rethink their Universal Monsters Cinematic Universe of movies. Originally it was intended that Dracula Untold was to be the first installment in said cinematic universe but after almost universal panning from critics and fans, Universal Pictures have instead decided to launch their cinematic universe with next years retelling of the Mummy franchise...

Gone is Boris Karloff's lumbering monster and Arnold Vosloo's vengeful ghoul, next year will see Sofia Boutella rise as the enraged Princess Ahmanet. Starring Tom Cruise in the hero role of Nick Morton and also starring Russell Crowe as Dr. Henry Jekyll, the movie's slogan "Welcome to a new world of Gods and Monsters" clarifies the movies ambitious standing as the first of many...

Loved the Brendan Fraser versions...If this is more of the same, I'm good.

 

I liked Dracula Untold...But it really took itself way to seriously. Just wasn't any fun.
