Mark Hamill confirmed on Twitter that Star Wars: Episode VIII will wrap filming later this month, on July 22nd 2016. Filming began back in February, taking place mostly in Ireland, with other locations including England, Florida and Croatia.
We don't currently know much about the plot or even the title of Episode VIII, but hopefully that will change when Comic Con rolls into town in San Diego from July 21-24.
Episode VIII will be released on December 15, 2017. In the meantime, we have this year's Rogue One to look forward to.
