Mortal Kombat 11 is nearly upon us and already leaks are beginning to spill out regarding the game's first character DLC expansion. Discovered by Reddit user LeoNathan within the source files of Mortal Kombat 11 Switch are 9 characters which NetherRealm Studios have added to their roster. These include Batman's Joker, Spawn, Terminator and more! See the full list below:

Shang Tsung

Joker

Nightwolf

Terminator

Sindel

Spawn

Ash

Fujin

Sheeva

LeoNathan did make mention however that this list was pulled from files of version 1.0 of the game and that this list may not encompass all of the new fighters to be featured in MK 11's DLC.

Mortal Kombat 11 arrives April 23rd, 2019 on PC, Switch and next gen consoles.

Directed by Simon McQuoid, based on a screenplay by Jeremy Slater, Mortal Kombat II stars newcomer Karl Urban as Johnny Cage! Cast also includes Adeline Rudolph, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks, Tati Gabrielle, Lewis Tan, Damon Herriman, Chin Han, with returning stars Tadanobu Asano as Raiden, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han, and Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi / Scorpion.

Mortal Kombat 2's official release date is set for May 15th, 2026!

I'm by no means a mortal kombat fan or can even be called a casual with it, but is Ash a normal mortal kombat character or do they mean Ash Williams? If it means Ash Williams and that turns out to be true, that alone might make me buy the game.

Ash is most likely Ash Wiliams AKA Bruce Campbell from the Evil Dead series as this fits in with the Mortal Kombat aesthetic. If this is the case then hopefully Campbell has supplied some voice-over work.

Joker will likely be a port of the Injustice character and likely have the same move set. Though hopefully, this will be the Injustice version of Joker as opposed to the Injustice 2 version.

Terminator has likely been added to the list to help market the upcoming Terminator: Dark Fate.

With Spawn, however, the question remains as to what move set the character will have - will Netherrealm give the character a unique move set, or a Mortal Kombat interpretation of the move set Spawn had in Namco's Soul Calibur II, who remains one of the series most celebrated guest characters.
