In this age of political correctness and making everything suitable for kids, it's great to see that DC and Warner Brothers decided to allow their animated Justice League Dark film to be rated R. This makes it the second animated DC adaptation to carry the rating after The Killing Joke, and we couldn't be happier to see more adult superhero films being released.
Whilst the regular Justice League (who will play a supporting role in the film) deal with cosmic threats, the Dark division tackle magic and supernatural menaces. The team consists of John Constantine (voiced by Matt Ryan, who played the character in the Hellblazer TV series), Zatanna, Deadman, Etrigan the Demon and Swamp Thing.
Jay Oliva, who directed a ton of Marvel and DC animated movies, is at the helm of the Justice League Dark movie, which will be released early next year. It also stars Jason O'Mara, Camilla Luddington, Nicholas Turturro, Jerry O'Connell and Rosario Dawson, and you can enjoy the trailer below courtesy of IGN.
