After Paramount pictures pulled their planned sequel to last year's Terminator: Genisys things have been looking uncertain for Terminator Fans. Although it did earn $440 million in worldwide box office takings Terminator: Genisys was not well received by critics and hardcore fans of the franchise. As such Dana Goldberg of Skydance productions announced that the production company was reassessing its plans regard the property. Despite all the negativity surrounding the last instalment franchise star and former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger assured fans at the "An Experience With Arnold Schwarzenegger" event in the UK in January that there would be a sixth Terminator movie.

However, if a sixth Terminator movie is to be made with Skydance Productions before the production rights revert back to creator James Cameron in 2019, Arnold will not be joined by his co-star, Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke, who has reportedly decided to concentrate on the popular HBO series and her role in the forthcoming movie Me Before You. When asked by ComingSoon.net if she would be reprising her role as Sarah Conor, Clarke was brutally blunt...

"No!... Can I say that? It’s okay. No. Uh-uh. But I have some very different roles coming up."

You're quoting an interview I did without any sort of link or acknowledgement - http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/678551-emilia-clarke-terminator-sequels

Hey Silas, I've added a source to ComingSoon.net to the article above.

Sort of a shame since she was one of the few things that clicked in the movie. She fit this new version of Sarah very well.

Of course this begs to question, what IS Skydance doing/planning? If anything?

I found her to be alright in the role, but not commanding or assertive like the previous Sarah Connor. Personally the only thing I enjoyed about Genisys really was seeing Arnold back as the Terminator. Jay Courtney seemed very anxious and at times and "over the top" with his reactions. Arnold back as the T-800 felt like Terminator. All in all, I'm totally fine with them re-casting for Terminator 6. Hopefully James Cameron takes the reigns for it and really gives the fans and the public the sequel we've been waiting for.

I will say though, I enjoyed Genisys' concept and the way it altered the timeline. There's more wiggle room for storytelling now because of it.

I really like Terminator 1 and 2 but I am not very interested in another Terminator movie. Not even Star Wars got it right with the prequels so I doubt that they could do better with new Terminator movies although I think that it is interesting with artificial intelligence and time travels.
