This is a revised script from the film ALIEN starring Sigourney Weaver. Its dated March,1978. This is not the final version of the script and it contains scenes that were not filmed.

I've included some pics of the scripts pages. One scene involves Dallas and Ripley getting naked. This explains why the UK gave the film an X rating upon its release.

Thankyou to Sawa for giving me the heads up on that :)

Holy cow!! Looks like they had adult magazines all over the ship. You'd think the workplace harassment policies would be tougher in the future ;)

A quote from SRS

Quite likely the reason, Ridley came-up with the idea for magazines; specifically-tailored, for the BR World. I'm sure he realized the magazines used in A L I E N, would be identified, eventually. The British magazine was one someone living in the U.K. flagged, sometime ago on a forum I was reading.

The Japanese one: I took a capture from the DVD, and zoomed-in on it. I could see part of the magazine title, and I knew right-away what publication it was. Also, I was able to catch a frame showing enough of the cover. From there, I simply searched online magazine seller's scans, until I found a match. In all, about 5 hours worth of research. The videotape I had was never good-enough to do this with. Before I posted this here, I checked to see who else figured it out. And since, another Japanese fan has too, plus he has a copy. Perhaps, something to add to your own collection, eh?

Stanley Kubrick's The Shining (1980), also used magazines to indicate what's going-on/make statements. I think Ridley used his magazines, just as effectively, in A L I E N. All these Japanese pages, scattered around Ash's spurting n' spazzing body (a powerful visual statement). As well, rolling-up the magazine, and stuffing it in Ripley's mouth; instead of a penis, Ash doesn't have. I could go on n' on with what joy n' horror I see in the film; as I've watched it at least 300 times. It'll sure be fun to get a hold of the 4K Blu-ray Edition, before too long. I've noticed both Exodus: Gods & Kings, and The Martian are newly released, for the new UHD format.

You're welcome, Dale.
