Star Wars: Why Is the Force Awakening? I thought it was already.
I'm going to do my best to give a non-spoiler review. This film wasn't very good, and unlike a lot of other reviewers have said, it doesn't even compare to the original trilogy.
The characters are relatively bland, except for the adolescent Kylo Ren, who acted more like a bratty child than a Sith Lord rising. (Is he just wearing a mask to look like Vader and be badass? Cause his face isn't burnt like Vader's was.)
Most of the film is extremely boring unlike the original trilogy; this film has actually made me appreciate the prequels much more than I used to.
I can't go to far without spoiling certain things, but I do not recommend this film to die-hard fans of the original three. You will be disappointed, in more ways than one.
Final Rating: 2/10 (Hopefully Rian Johnson will do a much better job.)
