When the first trailer was shown, I was very hyped for this film. Then the second trailer was uploaded, and I screamed in joy. By that point, my expectations were very high, and was the trip worth it? F*CK YEAH IT WAS!!!
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is a great mix between despair, hope, humour, and family. It did a great job of allowing us to sympathise with the main characters, and setting up the original Star Wars. At the end of the movie, you *spoilers* actually feel for Jyn and Cassian when they die.
Krennic was a brilliant villain, and is actually relatable when Tarkin takes credit for all his hard work. Tarkin was recreated using horrible, fake-@$$ CGI. Overall, Krennic was a great new addition to the roster of Star Wars villains.
There were many nods to other aspects of the franchise, such as the cameos of R2, 3PO, Chopper, and the Ghost. There was even a CGI Leia, which looked much better than Tarkin. And Darth Vader was brutal AF.
