While it certainly wasn't a bad movie, it pails in comparison to the first film.
I thought John Boyega did extremely well in his role, but I still felt this film sorely missed the presence of Guillermo Del Toro and Charlie Hunnam (as Raleigh Becket). It lacked the flair of the original, and it was disappointing to see Mako Mori relegated to a minor role in the first half-hour of the film.
Lots could have been done better, but it was still a good film, and just, slightly a worthy enough sequel.
