Beowulf meets Predetor. Oddly remeniscent of the aforementioned epic, Outlander is creative with an interesting creature design. I really liked it.
I won't go into the plot, but some of the more sci-fi elements were well done, but it's the fusion of sci-fi with miedeval elements that really stand out (the film's depiction of a magic sword is top notch, as is the Viking princes reaction to just where the hero's ship sank).
