Mothra

Official Plot Synopsis

A joint Japanese/Rolisican exhibition is sent to the once thought uninhabited Infant Island. Stowaway reporter Zenchiro Fukuda and linguist Shinichi Chujo find the natives and meet the Shobijin, tiny twin priestesses. They are taken by Rolisican tycoon Clark Nelson and used for profit. In response, the natives pray their goddess Mothra will hatch and rescue the Shobijin. As Nelson flees to Rolisica with the priestesses, Mothra pursues him by transforming into a giant, adult moth and wiping out anything in her path.

 

 

Directed by Ishiro Honda, Mothra is a Toho movie based on a screenplay by Shinichi Sekizawa.
