An absolute classic to the 1990s that allowed plenty of other films, games, and TV shows that were inspired by the film to follow suit.
The one thing that stands out in the film is the CGI and animatronics. CGI was new in the movie department and even though Spielburg was planning to use stop-motion figures (All thanks to Phil Tippett.), he decided to give CGI a shot with the fluid animation it has and how lifelike the dinosaurs seemed, including the animatronics.
Another thing would be the dinosaurs themselves. These aren't movie monsters that just mindlessly kill and eat, these are extinct animals brought back to life that are either trying to fight to survive or hunt. We see this in most of the herbivores, but also in the carnivores too.
This is a great movie to watch over and over again. Kids will absolutely adore dinosaurs once more with this film, recommended it for families that tolerate mildly graphic images.
