Iron Man is one of the best and most important movies for the superhero community. It is often overshadowed due to the fact that it was released a few months before the greatest superhero movie of all time, The Dark Knight. However, it deserves respect for a multitude of reasons.
For one, Iron Man is the film that spawned the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Without this film, we would have no Avengers, no Winter Soldier, no Civil War. It also took a B-list superhero and turned him into one of Marvel's biggest characters. Honestly, Iron Man deserves more respect than it gets. Prior to Phase 3 of the MCU, it was my fifth-favourite film in the series.
