Review Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack film review by Durp004

I'm going to be honest this is one of my least favorite Godzilla movies. Ill just go ahead and get the things I liked out of the way first. The special effects are amazing, probably some of the best the series has to offer, and the character Major Taizo Tachibana was very well done. That's about it.
I don't like the motivation for why the souls are mad enough to kill and destroy everything. They were killed in the pacific conflict so there are a few reasons that could have been used as to why they were attacking and they choose the childish reason of people are forgetting them. That's right people are dying, lives are being ruined, homes destroyed because if you forget about some souls they apparently get really pissed. All the fights are one sided. Almsot ridiculously so. I like this series and get caught up in the close fights seeing how godzilla will beat and overcome the odds. Even when he's the bad guy and needs to get beaten a part of me enjoys watching him still try to win. This movie it was never a question. Godzilla just stomps through the competition and all he sustains is a would to the shoulder. That kills him by the way. They drive a submarine into his body with a drill missile and can attack anything they want. The heart, brain spinal cord and they go for the shoulder. It actually works too and the major gets out alive after being swallowed by godzilla and going out the same hole that he just shot his atomic breath out of. Oh yeah the should wound itself doesn't kill him this godzillla is just dumb enough to shoot his ray out of it what I believe is 3 times before he finall sinks down and died. The character yuro has the tired fole of being a news reporter who stumbles on something bigger and then decides to risk her life for it. The character wasn't something I really got attached to. The second act is kind of slow, and baragon really gets the short end of the stick in this movie. He gets killed off before the other monsters even really show up. Seemed like they did that simply because Mothra and Ghidorah were more popular so they wanted more screentime for them in the final fight.
Contrary to what most of this review says I do enjoy this movie and I would still recommend it. It is one of my least favorite of the series but that's not saying much since I love godzilla. My review was just looking at the negatives as there's no doubt most other reviews will be heaping praise on praise for this movie.
