Good: This looks great. The monsters look great all the other special effects look great. Bryan Cranston is a wonderful actor and helps create a character we really care about. The parent angle on the Muto's was an interesting idea.
Bad: No other character in this story is worth caring about. The Muto's look a little too much like Cloverfield.
Conclusion: It is nice getting to see the big G on the big screen again. He looks and sounds amazing. When he or Bryan Cranston are not on the screen there really isn't anything worth watching.
