Godzilla (2014) is described as the epic rebirth to the iconic Toho monster. A legend of monster films and media, Godzilla has only been attempted by western studios once and that was in 1998. The 1998 encarnation of "Godzilla" was met with horrible criticism and failed to win the hearts of the Godzilla fans. This new reboot would be the opportunity to right the wrongs, and guess what; they did it. Godzilla 2014 is a spectacular film and a wonderful addition to the Godzilla series.
Though the movie has a slow buildup and the views of the big guy are very subtle and far and few sometimes, you feel his awesome power. The new MUTO monsters are spectacular adds and are very believable and cool monsters. The human side of this film has been hit harshly by critics and movie fans, but the performance put in by the cast was very well done. The slow build up helps you build a desire for more. The ultimate climax of this movie is stunning and leaves you speechless. Gareth Edwards has brought Godzilla back. The king of the monsters returns in this movie Godzilla fans and movie fans can all enjoy. While not without flaw, it is safe to say that this is the movie we have been waiting for. I highly recommend it to any Godzilla fan and any movie fan.
