As a Godzilla fan my entire life.... I waited 4 years for this movie to come out ever since it was announced in 2010 by Legendary Pictures. As I went into an IMAX theater to watch the movie, it starts off really good, highly entertaining. But as it started going 30-40 minutes through the movie, I couldn't help but to just see Godzilla already cuz all it kept showing was humans only, but worst of all; THE MUTOS MORE THAN GODZILLA! That's right, the whole movie focused on the humans trying to defeat the Mutos, which means Godzilla had nothing to do with the movie and story AT ALL, only that Godzilla and the Mutos are prehistoric rivals that's all.
So was the movie good? Yes, it was. But the biggest problem was that why make a Godzilla movie if the whole conflict is not about Godzilla and that he was thrown into the movie for absolutely no apparent reason? The movie did not leave me wanting more Godzilla, the movie left me complaining GODZILLA TO SHOULD'VE BEEN IN THE FILM MUCH MORE AND BE MORE CONCENTRATED ON. This movie also left me thinking of it as not really a Godzilla movie since he only shows screen time for about 18 minutes out of 2 HOURS??? -.- So yes, good movie, but highly disappointing that it didn't really feel like a Godzilla movie at all.
