Although, David's love for Shaw was like a son loving a mother, since he only knew of his father, mean Mr. Weyland, David had never felt true human compassion before.

Didn't David refer to Charlize Theron's character as "mother?" but with great disdain due to his servant duties.

One thing I picked up on, and I'm sure others did as well - AI's in the ALIEN universe seem to react when their mistreated, you can tell Oram was annoying Walter on the ship, as if his supreme intelligence was being undermined by Oram's request to further understand the random neutrino blast.

@Tdby - David, not "Davit" does not have a sexual preference unless programmed to, and as a robot, he does not have a gender other than what we perceive "David" to be from his lifelike attributes. The use of that word is derogatory and unacceptable.

I still maintain David didn't kill Shaw. She died, yes. He cut her to shit, undeniable. Did he kill her in cold blood? I sincerely doubt it. Those that read my review will know what I think.

Remember when the Prologue came out and some were accusing Hollywood of pushing a gay agenda based on the gay couple kissing? That made for some interesting posts to read.

@DK, that is the new normal since gay marriage was passed in the US.  Every show now has to have a gay character to satisfy the LGBT community.  Most have rolled with the punches and many have been turned off by it and that does affect the box office.  It happened with the Last Trek and changing the cast of Ghostbusters to all-female.  If it is for gratuitous sake, then it serves no purpose whatsoever.  

@Tdby. Apologies for my post last night. It was uncharacteristically personal. I'm usually fairly blunt but it's unusual for me to rant at anyone. At things, at movies, at society in general - often. At people, not so much.

Speaking as a Bisexual woman I agree with you completely.

Also, it's really damned unlikely any of my works will ever feature any characters created solely to satisfy the LGBT shriekers (whom are a bunch of shameless hypocrites I cannot stand and who are setting the cause regarding Equality back every damned time they open their mouths, they're as bad or worse than Nazis).

It wouldn't be so bad if the Nazi-esque LGBT bunch would start behaving like mature adults and respect people's choices.

They claim to do so, yet I experiance MANY attacks (some physical) for being Bisexual and married to a man.

Basically, the LGBT bunch is the Problem. They're fascist bullies who think they have a free license to act as they please and get EXTREMELY vicious when defied.

@Blackwinter, I appreciate the response and respect that you are honest with your sexual orientation.  I been married for 22 years and my wife is a die-hard catholic.  She has nothing against LGBT but she just gets turned off that every sitcom and TV show has to make a reference to it.  I have two daughters and taught them how the world is and about tolerance and acceptance (even though its not shown from both conservatives and liberals) and told them to live their lives as they please.  

We even had a gay foreign minister, couple of years ago. Whats the big deal? Sure we also have these "agressive minority representatives" but those usually shoot their own foot by tearing down walls that don't even exist. *chuckles* Was für'n Schwachsinn...

I know how your wife feels, as it's an aspect of the bullying nature of the LGBT bully-mob and how they insist on meddling and wedging their agenda into people's faces, I just can not call them a 'community' as they truly are not such, by definition. They are discriminatory, and absolutely IGNORE the plight of LGBT people in overseas nations facing persecution by their governments and religious authorities.

GOOD advice to your daughters!! That's how I live my life, I refuse to bend to anyone's pressure tactics.

Over here the 'aggressive minority representatives' are quite dangerous and have significant impact on things in government at all levels.

I think indeed in part if not more this is a good Analysis i am not sure if Shaw was suffering any infection problems as she had long hair which seems to show at least 6 Months Growth from Prometheus and so i think she looked unwell (Crossing Prologue) due to limited Nutrition, i do think her Eggs may have been a big part in the Xenomorph Eggs (Movie shows, not the Novel) and i think she may have at some point been infected by the Spores and then David then used her body for experiments, which may include a Face Hugger and Removal of a Xenomorph and then Harvested her Eggs.

I beg to differ, i think David did indeed Love Shaw, that went to being more than Platonic.. and he made Sexual Advances on to her and she rejected him and he then took this rejection wrong and this situation went bad fast... to the point Shaw may have tried to escape... and David either did something to her to injure/harm her or she got infected by the Spores.

I think he has developed Emotions and indeed has become a bit Sexually Curious... he did try it on with Daniels too and so by all accounts the Term Bisexual well Sexually confused comes to play.... and not straight up a Gay Robot...

I also am not sure where this Thread is going as far as to Religion, and Sexual Orientation and Preference, i think everyone has their own opinions and to be respectful to each others and hope this is what we shall see...
