MemberOvomorph12/6/2011I have seen that Patrick Wilson is playing "cocooned man". Could he be the big head thing in the "ampule room"? Maybe some kind of super computer/brain conversing with the humans?

MemberOvomorph12/6/2011i hope not spartan ..that will be a bit too star trek to me . maybe he is a scientist that along some mercenaries and technicians meet a gruesome fate and that story is told with flashbacks ...maybe the prometheus is the second ship ..and wilson was on the Magellan , a ship that met a sad fate .
i think the word "cocooned " is tied with the image of Dallas and PArker we have well in mind . I wonder from where IMDB got that definition .

MemberOvomorph12/6/2011IMO, I dont think the "cocooned man" is anything to do with any of the characters from Alien, reason being is that Prometheus is set before Alien. I also dont think that he will play any major role in the film, then again I could be wrong.

MemberOvomorph12/7/2011Could it be the cocooned man is the second phase of the production of a human from the urn. Assuming the urns containing the basic DNA or plasma for the production of humans? Or could be the prototype?

MemberOvomorph12/7/2011Engineer , yes prometheus is set before alien but that wont mean that the who cocoon people ( aka the Aliens ) are not there . Im pretty sure that classic aliens are there ( and one reliable source spotted them on set ) and so there should be their reproduction sistem aka "cocooning people"
